Free Counseling Services for Children/Youth With No Insurance or Underinsured

There is a free resource you may not know about which may benefit children/youth with no insurance or whose private insurance doesn't cover the cost of counseling services.  Through a grant awarded by California Emergency Management Agency, Child & Family Institute is able to provide free counseling services to children/youth who have experienced or witnessed some sort of trauma in their lives and do not have the insurance to cover counseling.  This program was designed to be the safety net for the victim/witness program, serving those who do not qualify for victim/witness for one reason or another - or whose victim/witness funding has been exhausted, but continued services are needed.  Attached is an info sheet which gives more detail around the types of trauma which would qualify an individual for this program (you will find that the criteria is very broad).  If you know of anyone who can benefit from this free resource, please direct them to the CFI Referral Line 916-736-1720.  If you have any questions or would like to meet to discuss service collaboration, please contact Abigail Nosce at 916-736-0828 x311 or anosce@cfisac.com.
